ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Bardzo fajný festival was founded back in 2013 at Bio Oko Cinema in Prague. Since then, we have been working on projects that involve Czech-Polish cultural cooperation. Our long-term ambition is to promote Polish culture in Czechia. The main focus is to present film screenings that we combine interesting literary and musical events.

WHAT DO WE DO?

We closely follow what is happening on the Polish cultural scene and bring new feature and short films from different genres and regions. Screenings are accompanied by talks and Q&As. Music, exhibitions and new translations of contemporary Polish literature also have their place here. We are supported by Poles living in Czechia.

WHERE YOU CAN FIND US

We are constantly looking for unusual venues. Apart from Bio Oko, you might have seen us at the Štvanice villa, at Tiskárna na vzduchu, at Klubovna in Dejvice or at Containall in Stromovka park. In Brno you can find us at Scalní letňák, the summer cinema Scala on the premises of the Moravian Gallery.

WHO IS THE FESTIVAL FOR?

Our events are aimed at both Czechs and Poles living in Czechia. The main idea is to create engaging opportunities for people to meet. There will be events for people of all ages. There are activities from young to old or art workshops for the whole family in the program.

CULINARY DELIGHTS

We love the taste of Poland. Authentic Polish cuisine and drinks have been a part of the festival since the very beginning. We cook with professional and amateur Polish chefs who live in Czechia.

POPULAR Z.S.

We formally operate as Popular z.s. The mission of the organisation is to promote Polish culture in Czechia and to establish international cooperation primarily in the Central European region. Over the seven years of its existence, the festival has produced more than 16 evening events focused on Polish cinema.
